Professional Background

Mr. Ponferrada obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines-College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Purple Feather Honor Society. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, which he obtained from the same university in 2003 as a scholar of the Department of Science and Technology.

While pursuing his law degree, Mr. Ponferrada worked as a supervisor in a leading multinational food and beverage company, and later as a court employee in the Fourth Division of the Sandiganbayan.

As a student leader and activist, he served in the University Student Council and was nominated to be the student representative in the UP Board of Regents, the university’s highest decision-making body, during his senior year in the College of Engineering.

Mr. Ponferrada joined our Firm in 2008 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2009.
