Professional Background

Ms. Leogardo principally does work for the Corporate and Business Law Group and the Project Development Group of the Firm. She likewise heads the Immigration Group and Retainer Group. Ms. Leogardo is experienced in transactions involving a variety of government contracts, water and other infrastructure projects, and the conveyance of real estate. She is also an expert in the field of immigration law and has an extensive background in assisting foreign clients in various types of immigration issues. She is an active member of the following associations: International Bar Association, Inter-Pacific Bar Association, World Jurist Association, Immigration Lawyers Association of the Philippines, Maritime Law Association of the Philippines, Philippine Bar Association, Legal Management Council of the Philippines, Federacion Internacional de Abogadas (Phil.), the Women Lawyers Association of the Philippines and the U.P Women Lawyers’ Circle. Ms. Leogardo’s practice areas include Immigration, Mergers and Acquisitions, Project Development, and Corporate and Business Law.

Ms. Leogardo obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines in 1984. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1985. She also obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree major in Philosophy from the same university where she graduated cum laude in 1980. She joined the Firm in 1985.
