Professional Background

Mr. Angangco is the Co-Managing Partner of the Firm. Having devoted himself to elevating the standards of the Philippine legal profession, he became one of the youngest National Presidents of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, the mandatory national organization of all lawyers authorized to practice law in the Philippines, from 1995 to 1997. He is also an active member of various international and local bar associations, such as the International Bar Association, Union Internationale des Avocats, Inter-Pacific Bar Association, Law Association for Asia and the Pacific, World Jurist Association, Philippine Bar Association, Philippine Constitution Association, and Maritime Law Association of the Philippines, holding various positions in such organizations at different times. He is a director of a large number of Philippine public and private corporations engaged in a wide variety of businesses, including insurance, manufacturing, mining, real estate development and education, and also acts as resident agent and representative of foreign corporations doing business in the country. 

Mr. Angangco’s practice areas include banking & finance, mergers & acquisitions, infrastructure projects, information & communications technology, power & energy, taxation, and corporate governance & regulation.

Mr. Angangco earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law, graduating cum laude and valedictorian in 1980, and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1981. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree major in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University, graduating cum laude in 1976.
