Villaraza & Angangco Hosts Eco Smart Building And Construction Forum

Villaraza & Angangco Law Offices, in partnership with the Queensland Department of the Premier and Cabinet, hosted representatives from local housing developers in the country on 08 March 2007, at Tower Club, Makati City, for a forum on housing and sustainable development.

The Queensland delegation was headed by Ms. Sallyanne Atkinson, the Queensland Government*#*s Special Representative for South East Asia.

The Chairman of the Philippine Retirement Authority, retired police chief Edgardo Aglipay , delivered a presentation on Investment Opportunities for Retirement Villages in the Philippines.

Russ Mackie, Business Manager, South East Asia and the Pacific, briefed the participants regarding Queensland Systems & Technologies Package and what Queensland had to offer in terms of building techniques and construction systems.

The forum provided a distinct opportunity for local stakeholders to familiarize themselves with the latest technologies in building sustainable communities. The following local developers participated: Ayala Land, Inc.; Community Innovations, Inc.; Avida Land Corporation; Century Properties Group; Robinson*#*s Land Corporation; Sta. Lucia Realty and Development Corporation; and Camella Homes.
