The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently advised the Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) that the proposed amendments to the PSE Revised Listing Rules have been approved. The amendments, among others, require an applicant company to electronically lodge its registered securities with the Philippine Depository and Trust Corporation (PDTC), or any other entity duly authorized by the SEC, without any jumbo or mother certificate as a condition for the listing and trading of its securities.
The Rules shall apply to companies applying for initial listing starting 01 July 2009 and, for existing listed companies, the Rules shall apply starting 01 July 2010.
